We wish to bring to your kind notice that Bureau of Indian Standards has revised the specifications for insulating mats, The specifications of Rubber Mats i.e. IS:5424:1969 are now replaced with IS: 15652:2006 w.e.f. 01 November 2007 as per Govt. Of India Gazette Notification No. S.O. 2086 Dated 17 July 2007.
The Insulated Mat with IS: 15652:2006 has superseded the Rubber Mats due to its High Insulation Resistance & Fire Retardants properties considering the human safety as prime concern .
“ELECTROMAT” Mats are highly recommended for Total safety of workmen from Electrical shocks when working in or around environments like High Voltage Panels, HT Switch Gears, Substations, Power Transformer Rooms, LT & HT Labs near Bus Bars, all types of L.T. Panel, Control rooms for operation of Motors & other allied Machinery in the factories etc.
ELECTROMAT / VARDHMAN feature:-
Insulating Mats with High Di Electric strength. Fire Retardant Excellent Mechanical properties to with stand load and movement of Breaker, Trolleys an associated electrical equipments. No adverse effect of Acids, Alkali and Transformer oil.Special features of Electromat: - As per IS: 15652 material is made from synthetic Elastomer having shelf life is 10-15 years. Stain Resistance :- ELECTROMAT is not absorb any dust & very easy to clean. Unique & Special feature: Coloured strips both side on the Mat. (4 Inches coloured strips with one side our brand name “ELECTROMAT” & voltage rating will be print on strip). For enhancing the aesthetic look of panel rooms & defining the electrical safety area. Extra Safety Feature:- Auto-Glow path-way band:- Both sides across the width 1” wide Auto-glow safety band seamlessly laminated on the surface which shall absorb light & glow in emergency situation when lighting is not available for a period of at least 3 hours. Charges for the same shall be extra.Laying & Fixing:- Insulating Mat can be paste on floor in front of panels with special rubber based adhesive SR-998 Fevicol. For pasting, the floor should be cemented, smooth & free from any pitting.
